Hi, I’m Aurora Engine (Deborah Shaw )composer and songwriter from Shildon Co. Durham and ! I’m collecting the sounds of our railways in the North East for a brand-new rail-inspired soundscape celebrating Rail 200 — The work will premiere on Friday 21st November in the Ouseburn Trusts’s Victoria Railway Tunnel for a night of songs and music inspired by railways

If you live near a train line or travel by rail, or are rail enthusiast I’d love your help. 🎧 I’d love to hear how your world sounds.

Record any sound — the doors closing, an announcement, a train pulling in, or even the guard’s whistle. Phone recordings are absolutely fine
